Ansal Hsg fires up on Agra footprint

Ansal Housing & Construction jumped 10 per cent to Rs 172 on reports of launching a new housing project in Agra.

The scrip saw volumes of 1.9 lakh against the usual 1.2 lakh. According to reports the company launched a Rs 200 crore housing project called "Ansal Town" in Agra.

The project is to cover 130 acres and will be close to the Taj Mahal. The project is likely to be over by the end of the next financial year.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 7.74 crore for the quarter ended March and net sales of Rs 41.05 crore.
