Cardamom sheds 2% on profit-booking

Cardamom prices fell by Rs 23.40 to Rs 1,006 per kg in futures trading today on profit-booking by speculators at existing higher level amid sluggish demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in April shed Rs 23.40, or 2.27%, to Rs 1,006 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,783 lots.
The March contract lost Rs 11.30, or 1.18%, to Rs 950 per kg in 3,554 lots.
Analysts said profit booking by speculators at prevailing higher levels, fall in demand in the spot market mainly pulled down cardamom prices at futures.
