Chana surges 1.27% on strong demand
Chana futures went up as speculators enlarged their positions

Chana futures for May surged by Rs 46, or 1.27%, to Rs 3,654 per quintal in 13,610 lots.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, the April contract jumped up by Rs 45, or 1.26%, to Rs 3,605 per quintal in 61,850 lots.
Chana futures went up as speculators enlarged their positions.
Strong spot market demand helped the gains.
Restricted arrivals from producing regions also influenced the chana prices.
