Chilli, turmeric trade lower on subdued demand

Red chilli and turmeric prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today due to subdued demand amid adequate stocks.
Red chilli and turmeric prices declined by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 7,400-10,900 and Rs 5,700-9,800 per quintal, respectively.
Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid sufficient stocks mainly pulled down chilli and turmeric prices in the wholesale kirana market here.
Following are today's quotations:
Ajwain 15,000-19,000, black pepper common 33,700-34,700, betelnut (kg) 110-120, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 835-925,and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,150-1,200.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 510-535, cardamom (colour robin) 535-575, cardamom bold 545-575, cardamom extra (bold) 700-820 and cloves (kg) 950-1025.
