Cotton Output May Drop 5% In 2002-03

Cotton production is likely to fall by 5 per cent to 15 million bales in the crop year 2002-03 (October-September).
Lower output would lead to an increase in prices, which were already ruling high, Indian Cotton Mills Federation chairman Rajaram Jaipuria said.
