Edible oils show mixed trend

In mixed pattern of trading, soyabean and groundnut oil prices firmed up to Rs 150 per quintal on fresh buying by vanaspati millers, amid a firming global trend.
However, other edible oils declined on lack of buying support against adequate stocks.
Buying activity in select edible oils picked up as palm oil advanced to the highest level in more than a week in global markets as lower prices lured some importers, and as rival soybean oil climbed on concerns that rain may threaten oilseeds ready for harvest in Brazil.
Meanwhile, palm oil for June delivery gained 1.3 per cent to $1,148 a tonne, the highest level since March 10.
In the national capital, soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (kandla) oils strengthened by Rs 30 each to Rs 6,140 and Rs 5,840 per quintal.
