Gram falls on sluggish demand

Gram and its dal prices softened by Rs 25 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today on sluggish demand against adequate stocks.
Elsewhere, prices moved in a narrow range on alternate small bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.
Traders said subdued demand against sufficient stocks mainly led to decline in gram and its dal prices.
In the national capital, gram prices fell Rs 25 to Rs 2,600-2,625 and its dal local and best quality traded lower by the same margin to Rs 2,850-2,865 and Rs 2,950-3,050 per quintal, respectively.
