Gur pedi weakens on subdued demand

Gur pedi prices weakened by Rs 50 per quintal in the wholesale jaggery market today on sluggish demand from local parties against adequate stocks position.
Elsewhere, gur prices in Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar remained steady in restricted buying activity.
Traders said sluggish local parties demand against sufficient stocks position led to mainly led to fall in gur pedi prices.
At Delhi, gur pedi declined by Rs 50 to Rs 3000-3100 per quintal.
Following were today's quotations per quintal:
Chakku Rs 2,800-2,900, pedi Rs 3,000-3,100, Dhayya Rs 3,300-3,400, and Shakkar Rs 3,200-3,300
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,350-2,450, chakku Rs 2,450-2,525 and Khurpa N.T
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,750-2,800 and Dhaya Rs N/A
