Gur prices end mixed on alternate bouts of trading

In mixed pattern of trading, gur raskat prices declined by Rs 50 per quintal in the wholesale gur (jaggery) market today on sluggish demand.
However, in Muradnagar, gur pedi rose on paucity of stocks. Market analysts said sluggish demand helped gur raskat prices to trade lower.
Paucity of stocks against increased stockists buying led to rise in gur pedi, they added.
In Muzzafarnagar, gur raskat lost Rs 50 to Rs 2,250-2,300 per quintal, while gur pedi in Muradnagar, gained Rs 50 to Rs 2,700-2,800 per quintal.
Following were today's quotations per quintal:
Chakku Rs 2,800-2,900, pedi Rs 3,000-3,100, Dhayya Rs 3,100-3,200, and Shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,250-2,300, chakku Rs 2,475-2,700 and Khurpa Rs 2,450-2,500
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,700-2,800 and Dhaya Rs NA
