Sacking futures at the East India Jute & Hessian Exchange (EIJ&HE) have touched a five-year low. On November 1, prices of sacking bags touched a low of Rs 1,801 for 100 bags. Sources at the exchange said, prices were at a five-year low with the dilution of mandatory packaging and lack of consensus on government buying.
Today, sacking futures closed at Rs 1,812 which is 17 per cent down from the opening day
