Mustardseed futures eases on profit taking

Press Trust of India New Delhi

Mustardseed prices weakened by Rs 2.05 to Rs 545.70 per 20 kg in futures market today on profit-booking by traders at high levels, driven by weak spot market sentiment.

Besides profit-booking, increased arrivals against fall in demand from edible oil producers in physical markets, also influenced the trend here in futures.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, mustardseed prices for November contract went down by Rs.2.05, or 0.37 per cent to Rs.545.70 per 20 kg, with an open interest of 63,810 lots.

October contract also moved down by Rs 1.85, or 0.34 per cent to Rs 539.30 per 20 kg, with an open interest of 1,10,680 lots.
