Pepper, jeera down on subdued demand

Press Trust of India New Delhi

Black pepper and jeera prices fell by Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today due to subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks.

Black pepper fell by Rs 200 to conclude at Rs 23,300-23,500 per quintal.

Likewise, jeera common and jeera best quality prices traded lower at Rs 15,600-15,800 and Rs 17,100-18,100 respectively, against previous closing of Rs 15,800-16,000 and Rs 17,300-18,300 per quintal, respectively.
