Saria weakens on reduced offtake

Saria prices declined by Rs 100 per tonne in the local steel market today due to reduced offtake by stockists following slow down in constructions activity.  

Traders said reduced offtake by stockists due to slowdown in constructions activity following rainy season led to the fall in saria prices.

In the saria section, Kamdhenu 8-mm, 10-mm and 12-mm were down by Rs 100 each to Rs 43,300, Rs 42,600 and Rs 41,900 per tonne, respectively. Saria 16-25-mm followed suit and traded lower by the same margin to Rs 42,400 per tonne.
