The State Bank of India (SBI) counter has lately occupied the top slot in equity futures on individual stocks segment, in both the June and July series.
The volumes soared to 6,354 contracts in June futures amid open interest of 36,78,000 underlying shares while volumes in the July series have shot up to 3,125 contracts with an open interest of 42,38,000 shares.
Hectic activity on the counter stems from good showing in its core business and also from falling non performing asset (NPA) levels.
