Sensex down 469pts; DLF slumps 6%

The Sensex opened with a negative gap of 94 points at 18,920, and continued to drift deeper into red. The index touched a low of 18,525, and is now down 469 points at 18,544.

DLF has plunged 5.5% to Rs 951. Larsen & Toubro and Cipla have slumped around 4% each to Rs 3,760 and Rs 195, respectively.

Satyam and ICICI Bank have shed around 3.5% each to Rs 360 and Rs 1,204, respectively.

BHEL and ITC have tumbled nearly 3% each to Rs 2,235 and Rs 207, respectively.
