Sensex down 80pts; market breadth fairly -ve

The Sensex is now down 80 points at 10,664.

Hindalco and Reliance Communications have slipped over 3% each to Rs 156 and Rs 255, respectively.

Tata Motors and Cipla have dropped 2.3% each to Rs 722 and Rs 230, respectively.

Gujarat Ambuja, HLL, ICICI Bank, Maruti, HDFC Bank and Ranbaxy declined around 2% each to Rs 103, Rs 228, Rs 543, Rs 771, Rs 780 and Rs 367, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and BHEL have advanced 1.7% each to Rs 2,247 and Rs 2,081, respectively.

The market breadth is fairly negative - out of 2,368 stocks traded so far, 1,422 have declined, 875 have advanced and 71 are unchanged.
