Sensex ends up nearly 700pts

The Sensex opened with a huge positive gap of 146 points at 19,308, and zoomed to a high of 19,879 in noon deals.

The index finally closed (provisional) with a huge gain of 689 points at 19,851.

Tech stocks led the Sensex rally, and stocks of Gujarat-based companies also logged sharp gains today.
