Sensex up over 425pts; Hindalco zooms 11%

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 447 points at 8,957, and is now up 425 points at 8,935.

Hindalco has zoomed over 11% to Rs 45. Jaiprakash Associates has soared 10.5% to Rs 59.

Reliance Infrastructure has surged 9.5% to Rs 434. Tata Motors has rallied 8.5% to Rs 152.

DLF has gained 8% at Rs 214. Tata Steel, Larsen & Toubro and Mahindra & Mahindra have advanced around 7.5% each to Rs 181, Rs 777 and Rs 266, respectively.

Reliance Communications and Bharti Airtel are up around 6% each at Rs 215 and Rs 606, respectively.
