Sugar remains quiet in thin trade

The wholesale sugar prices continued to be asked at previous levels in the national capital today following adequate stocks against ongoing demand. 

Market analysts said adequate stocks position to meet the ongoing marriage season demand kept sugar prices unchanged. 

Following were today's quotation in Rs per quintal. 

Sugar ready M-30 2,890-2,975 and S-30 2,860-2,960

Mill delivery M-30 2,690-2,865 and S-30 2,660-2,840
Sugar mill gate prices (excluding duty): Kinonni 2,845, Asmoli 2,825, Mawana 2,775, Titabi 2,780, Thanabhavan 2,680, Budhana 2675 and Dorala 2,775
