WDM witnesses trade worth Rs 1,794 cr on NSE

The highest amount of trade during the week was at Rs 2,261.83 crore on August 8,

The Wholesale Debt Market (WDM) segment of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) today witnessed a total turnover of Rs 1,794 crore in 62 trades.

Top securities (non-repo) traded at the WDM were:

The 8.07% government securities maturing in 2017, which traded at Rs 185.00 crore at a weighted yield of 8.12%, the 8.33% Government securities maturing in 2026, which traded at Rs 165.00 crore at a weighted yield of 8.31% and the 91-days Treasury bills (issue no.0240812) which traded at Rs 160 crore at a weighted yield of 8.05%

During the week ended today, the total turnover was Rs 10,047.34 crore and the total number of trades during the week at 436.

The highest amount of trade during the week was at Rs 2,261.83 crore on August 8, while the lowest volume was Rs 1,794.00 crore today.

This week, the weighted yield on government securities with a maturity period of 0-3 years, 3-7 years, 7-10 years and more than 10 years was quoted at 8.01%, 8.13%, 8.23% and 8.36%, respectively.

The weighted yields on treasury bills maturing within 90 days was 8.15%, it was 8.22% for bills of 91-182 days tenure, and 8.12% for bills of 183-365 days' tenure.

During the week, the cumulative value of government securities, treasury bills and state government securities trading on the WDM was Rs.6,021.97 crore, trading in Non- Government securities was at Rs 4,025.37 crore, representing 59.94% and 40.06% of the total traded value, respectively, the NSE release said.
