Zinc gains 0.2% on global cues
Speculation that central banks in the US and China may act to strengthen their economies helps uptrend

Tracking a firm trend in base metals overseas, zinc gained 0.20% to Rs 101.95 per kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in September traded 20 paise, or 0.20%, higher at Rs 101.95 per kg, with a trading volume of 22 lots.
The metal for August delivery also moved up by 10 paise, or 0.10%, to Rs 100.70 per kg, with a trade turnover of 801 lots.
Marketmen said a firming trend in copper and other base metals at the London Metal Exchange on increased speculation that central banks in the US and China, two of the world's largest users, may add more stimulus to strengthen their economies, raised the demand outlook, helping zinc futures to trade higher at futures trade.
