Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Ashutosh on Tuesday alleged that the 'Swaraj Samvaad' meeting, organised by the party members who were recently expelled from the national executive, had a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) involvement in it.
"Yesterday I got a message from Prashant Bhushan, Professor Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha, inviting members to join the 'Swaraj Samvaad' meeting on April 14. But when I read it closely, it was written by Ashwini Upadhyay. I was a little stunned and surprised that Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav want to organise a meeting, but why is the message coming from BJP?" questioned Ashutosh.
"Ashwini Upadhyay was thrown out of the AAP for indiscipline. Later, he joined BJP and became a spokesperson. So if a BJP spokesperson is sending such invite, which was supposed to be from Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav, it creates suspicion in mind. Is it a deliberate ploy, is it a conspiracy or is there some trick?" he added.
Following their expulsion from the national executive on March 28, Prashant Bhushan, Yogendra Yadav, Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha have convened a meeting of their supporters on April 14 to discuss the future course of action, amid speculations that they may a float a new political party.
