Out-of-favour Dwayne Bravo believes that overemphasis on past glories and lack of focus on current and aspiring players by the West Indies Cricket Board are leading to the downfall of the Caribbean cricket.

The 32-year-old all-rounder insisted that the best way to help the West Indies team would be to focus on one-day and Twenty20 cricket, adding that the aspiring youngsters are more now inclined towards fast-paced limited-overs format, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

Bravo also suggested that the relationship between players and board members and management staff needs to get stronger and claimed that there were a lot of dishonest people at the helm.

Bravo along with other Windies superstars have come under severe criticism lately in the wake of suggestions that they prefer the lucrative Twenty20 tournaments rather than playing for their own troubled national team.

Last week, the once-formidable West Indies suffered a humiliating innings and 212-run defeat to the mighty Australians in the first Test in Hobart.

Also, chances of any improvement in the remaining matches look bleak in view of a fragile and inexperienced line-up.
