New Zealand batsman Martin Guptill is confident of his side making a comeback and winning the second Test at Headingley against England starting on Friday to square the series.

England won the exciting Lord's Test by 124 runs, and lead the two-match series one nil.

Guptill the Kiwis were very keen to preserve their unbeaten Test series record, which stretches back to over two years.

Guptill said the Lord's Test was a great test match, and it was unfortunate the New Zealand ended up being the losers, stuff.co.nz reported.

He said that they were pretty confident off coming out and squaring the series.

Guptill marked his return to test cricket with a polished 70 in the first innings, but was dismissed for a duck in the second, leaving his side in trouble.

He said that they came to England wanting to win the series, but now, have to be able to bounce back quickly.
