Continuing its crackdown on illicit liquor smuggling, Haryana Police on Friday seized 1150 boxes of illicit Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from a person's possession in Kaithal district.
During the incident, police also impounded a truck being used in the smuggling of liquor.
A spokesman of the Haryana Police said, "The arrested accused was identified as the driver of the vehicle Vaishakha, a resident of Malout in Punjab. The accused failed to produce any permit or document related to the seized liquor. During preliminary interrogation, the accused revealed that he had brought the liquor from Chandigarh for supply in Rajasthan."
A police team had got information that a truck loaded with illicit liquor would be coming from Pehowa side.
