An auction house in Los Angeles has reportedly withdrawn a still-life watercolor painted by a young Adolf Hitler, which was set to go on auction online on Thursday.

Nate D Sanders, a Los Angeles-based memorabilia collector, confirmed that the painting had been withdrawn but refused to comment on the decision. Bidding for the canvas was set to start at 30,000 dollars, reported The Guardian.

The canvas is believed to have been painted by Hitler in 1912 when he was a struggling artist in Vienna. It depicted a bright floral arrangement in a blue pitcher and was signed "A Hitler" in red ink.

However, the auction will still see the sale of two Hitler-related items, including a signed, two-volume set of Mein Kampf and a signed change-of-address document from August 1909, which represents the troubled young man's last known address before he registered himself as homeless just four months later.
