IED blast kills security force personnel in Pakistan's South Waziristan

A Frontier Corps personnel was killed and another was injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Sarokai district of Pakistan's South Waziristan region on Monday.
The Dawn quoted a political administration official in the area, as saying that the soldiers were on routine patrol when a hidden IED exploded near the Gurguray checkpost in Sarokai.
Security forces have cordoned off the area after blast.
The Pakistan Army is battling militants linked to the Taliban and Al-Qaeda in South Waziristan for more than a decade.
