India to provide 'necessary assistance' to family of IT consultant killed in Australia

The Ministry of External Affairs on Sunday assured that it would provide all 'necessary assistance' to the family of the Indian woman killed in Australia.

MEA official spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin took to twitter to share the details.

"Consulate General of India in Sydney aware of sad incident. All necessary assistance being provided," he posted.

On Saturday night, Prabha Arun Kumar, a 41-year-old IT consultant, was stabbed to death near her house in Sydney.
