The final step to start the historic Iran nuclear deal has been completed following the ratification of the bill by an oversight panel after it was passed by the Parliament.

According to The New York Times, the ratification by the veto-wielding panel, the 12-member Guardian Council, made within 36 hours after Parliament accepted the details of the agreement, cleared the way for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran to start dismantling thousands of centrifuges and redesign a heavy-water reactor into a much less a dangerous light-water reactor.

In exchange of the nuclear deal between Iran and six world powers, sanctions against the country will be lifted as soon as the International Atomic Energy Agency verifies the steps.

Iranian officials, including President Hassan Rouhani, said that the process would take about two months.
