Out-of-favour wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal has expressed that he wants to regain his place in the Pakistan squad, insisting that he will always have the desire and passion to play for the national side.

However, the 33-year-old said that he would continue to perform the best of his abilities despite uncertainty over his selection into the team, PakPassion reported.

Kamran, a veteran of 261 international games, displayed brilliant performance in the CPL as Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel lifted their first title in the history of the competition, however, the player still find himself being sidelined from the national squad.
