Plurality of Americans favour use of drones to kill U.S.-born terrorists living outside country: Poll

A plurality of Americans support targeting and killing of citizens suspected of being part of terrorist groups living in other countries, a new poll has found.

The NBC News/Wall Street Journal Survey found that more than four in 10 respondents said they support the targeted killing of Americans who are suspected terrorists living in other countries, compared to a quarter who said they do not.

According to the Washington Times, 66 percent of those surveyed also said they favor using drones to kill suspected members of al Qaeda and other terrorists living in Pakistan, Yemen and other countries.

The poll found that 16 percent of Americans said they oppose such strikes.
