Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge presents Interim Budget in Lok Sabha

Union Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge presented his maiden interim Budget for the next four months in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.

Highlights of his Budget speech:

Seven new premium trains, 38 express and ten passenger trains in 2014-15.

Passenger rail service to Katra and Vaishnodevi to start shortly.

Earlier in the day, Kharge said that this Rail Interim Budget would also outline what the Rail Ministry has done in the past ten years.
