An old Chinese vase has been auctioned for a whopping 3 million pounds.

The early 18th Century green and yellow historical object, that had been kept on a chest of drawers for decades, was sold at auction for 15 times its estimated 200,000 pounds price, the Daily Express reported.

The 16-inch ceramic vase is decorated with eight enamel bats flying around clouds and flowers and it dates back to the Imperial kilns of the Yongzheng Emperor.

It was reported that the vase's unknown owners had inherited it from a relative who had bought it from a New York art dealer in 1961 for an undisclosed sum.
