Sonam bags best actress at The Indian Film Festival

B-Town's fashionista Sonam Kapoor was recently announced the Best Actress for her performance in 'Neerja' at The Indian Film Festival.
While receiving the prestigious award, the 31-year old actress, in her thanksgiving speech also laid emphasis on women empowerment .
According to a Pinkvilla report, she commended Richa Chadha and Radhika Apte, who were among the other attendees, for their efforts to the social cause.
"We are talking about female empowerment and I think Richa and Radhika up here, they are extremely talented and I feel lucky to be among them," she said.
She further talked about her last release, "Neerja is a true story of a braveheart. It teaches us to conquer our fears. Thank you everyone, thank you to my team and the Film Festival of Melbourne."
The 'Khoobsurat' actress was looking stunning in a sizzling beige color outfit with intricate design by Anamika Khanna, a picture of which she later shared later on her social media account.
