Australian substitute fielder Chris Sabburg has said that he was thrilled to spoil Kevin Pietersen's 100th Test by catching him in the deep on Sunday.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Sabburg revealed that it was pretty funny as his dad was saying to try and run out or catch Pietersen and it actually happened.
Sabburg was only on the ground for two balls before lunch, replacing Ryan Harris momentarily, when Pietersen's ego got the better of him and he went after the short ball from Mitchell Johnson that has been so fruitful for the rejuvenated quick at the Gabba, the report said.
Super subs have a history of featuring in Australian Tests as Gary Pratt famously ran out Ricky Ponting at Trent Bridge in 2005, and in Hobart six years ago Rhett Lockyear completed a catch and pulled off two run-outs, the report added.
