Auto stocks slide
Auto stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Auto index decreasing 150.03 points or 0.91% at 16391.62 at 13:45 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Auto index, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (down 2.34%), Balkrishna Industries Ltd (down 1.63%),Hero MotoCorp Ltd (down 1.48%),Tata Motors Ltd (down 1.2%),TVS Motor Company Ltd (down 1.14%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd (down 1.07%), Ashok Leyland Ltd (down 1.03%), MRF Ltd (down 0.73%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (down 0.62%), and Bharat Forge Ltd (down 0.59%).
On the other hand, Apollo Tyres Ltd (up 1.11%), Exide Industries Ltd (up 0.08%), and Bosch Ltd (up 0.02%) turned up.
At 13:45 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 254.02 or 0.68% at 37130.97.
The Nifty 50 index was down 77.7 points or 0.7% at 10998.2.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 43.41 points or 0.33% at 13056.46.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 0.97 points or 0.02% at 4329.69.
On BSE,1192 shares were trading in green, 1119 were trading in red and 165 were unchanged.
