Capital Goods shares fall

Capital Goods stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index falling 241.51 points or 1.41% at 16923.87 at 13:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, Sadbhav Engineering Ltd (down 3.64%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd (down 2.14%),Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (down 1.64%),Finolex Cables Ltd (down 1.59%),Thermax Ltd (down 1.35%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (down 1.32%), HEG Ltd (down 1.32%), Carborundum Universal Ltd (down 1.2%), Graphite India Ltd (down 0.94%), and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (down 0.9%).

On the other hand, Schaeffler India Ltd (up 1.59%), Siemens Ltd (up 0.89%), and NBCC (India) Ltd (up 0.28%) moved up.

 

At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 129.55 or 0.32% at 40545.9.

The Nifty 50 index was down 37.9 points or 0.32% at 11956.3.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 19.16 points or 0.14% at 13389.76.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 8.49 points or 0.18% at 4707.04.

On BSE,976 shares were trading in green, 1286 were trading in red and 195 were unchanged.
