Capital Goods stocks rise

Capital Goods stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index increasing 303.62 points or 1.67% at 18514.29 at 09:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (up 21.21%), NBCC (India) Ltd (up 7.29%),Bharat Electronics Ltd (up 4.07%),Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (up 2.55%),Sadbhav Engineering Ltd (up 2.5%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (up 2.16%), Finolex Cables Ltd (up 1.42%), ABB India Ltd (up 1.35%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd (up 1.23%), and V-Guard Industries Ltd (up 1.16%).

On the other hand, Grindwell Norton Ltd (down 0.18%), and Schaeffler India Ltd (down 0.04%) turned lower.

 

At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 86.93 or 0.22% at 39138.99.

The Nifty 50 index was up 23.5 points or 0.2% at 11609.85.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 113.65 points or 0.88% at 13027.74.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 41.86 points or 0.95% at 4469.59.

On BSE,1022 shares were trading in green, 378 were trading in red and 58 were unchanged.
