Capital Goods shares gain

Capital Goods stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index rising 264.48 points or 1.57% at 17123.04 at 09:49 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, Honeywell Automation India Ltd (up 3.34%), Havells India Ltd (up 2.52%),Larsen & Toubro Ltd (up 1.88%),Finolex Cables Ltd (up 1.59%),GMR Infrastructure Ltd (up 1.59%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (up 1.46%), Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (up 1.46%), Siemens Ltd (up 1.38%), AIA Engineering Ltd (up 1.34%), and Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (up 1.16%).

On the other hand, Grindwell Norton Ltd (down 0.8%), and SKF India Ltd (down 0.12%) moved lower.

 

At 09:49 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 111.38 or 0.27% at 40900.76.

The Nifty 50 index was up 35.05 points or 0.29% at 12014.7.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 100.71 points or 0.69% at 14646.22.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 45.88 points or 0.91% at 5074.42.

On BSE,1051 shares were trading in green, 433 were trading in red and 61 were unchanged.
