Consumer Durables stocks rise

Consumer Durables stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index increasing 292.63 points or 0.82% at 35992.2 at 09:49 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index, Amber Enterprises India Ltd (up 3.97%), Titan Company Ltd (up 1.3%),Rajesh Exports Ltd (up 1.16%),Bajaj Electricals Ltd (up 0.75%),Orient Electric Ltd (up 0.41%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Voltas Ltd (up 0.37%), Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd (up 0.33%), and Whirlpool of India Ltd (up 0.26%).

On the other hand, Blue Star Ltd (down 0.82%), Vaibhav Global Ltd (down 0.55%), and Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd (down 0.13%) turned lower.

 

At 09:49 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 78.81 or 0.15% at 52667.52.

The Nifty 50 index was up 29.6 points or 0.19% at 15802.35.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 58.38 points or 0.23% at 25118.69.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 30.7 points or 0.4% at 7766.61.

On BSE,1621 shares were trading in green, 969 were trading in red and 98 were unchanged.
