Financials shares rise

Financials stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Finance index rising 52.2 points or 0.75% at 7016.84 at 09:52 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Finance index, Max Financial Services Ltd (up 5.09%), Lakshmi Vilas Bank Ltd (up 4.76%),Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd (up 3.93%),JSW Holdings Ltd (up 3.36%),Corporation Bank (up 3.2%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Muthoot Capital Services Ltd (up 3.04%), CreditAccess Grameen Ltd (up 2.97%), Bandhan Bank Ltd (up 2.68%), PNB Gilts Ltd (up 2.49%), and Jump Networks Ltd (up 2.42%).

On the other hand, Jammu and Kashmir Bank Ltd (down 7.55%), Allahabad Bank (down 4.89%), and Reliance Home Finance Ltd (down 4.63%) moved lower.

 

At 09:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 337.86 or 0.82% at 41554.

The Nifty 50 index was up 100.3 points or 0.83% at 12208.2.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 26.49 points or 0.18% at 14776.44.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 18.94 points or 0.37% at 5124.27.

On BSE,864 shares were trading in green, 628 were trading in red and 80 were unchanged.
