Financials shares rise
Financials stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Finance index rising 50.77 points or 1.14% at 4511.88 at 09:53 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Finance index, IndusInd Bank Ltd (up 8.3%), Reliance Capital Ltd (up 4.99%),Manappuram Finance Ltd (up 4.98%),Alankit Ltd (up 4.94%),RBL Bank Ltd (up 4.58%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Reliance Home Finance Ltd (up 4.12%), Bandhan Bank Ltd (up 3.24%), Axis Bank Ltd (up 3.22%), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd (up 3.1%), and AAVAS Financiers Ltd (up 2%).
On the other hand, Shriram City Union Finance Ltd (down 5.88%), Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd (down 4.96%), and Magma Fincorp Ltd (down 4.79%) moved lower.
At 09:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 23.11 or 0.07% at 31719.97.
The Nifty 50 index was up 4.6 points or 0.05% at 9286.9.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 37.28 points or 0.35% at 10816.84.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 6.91 points or 0.18% at 3788.32.
On BSE,858 shares were trading in green, 578 were trading in red and 101 were unchanged.
