Financials stocks edge lower
Financials stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE Finance index decreasing 61.35 points or 0.88% at 6934.73 at 13:52 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Finance index, CARE Ratings Ltd (down 7.4%), Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd (down 4.97%),Lakshmi Vilas Bank Ltd (down 4.78%),Religare Enterprises Ltd (down 4.31%),Satin Creditcare Network Ltd (down 3.96%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Bandhan Bank Ltd (down 3.41%), IndusInd Bank Ltd (down 3.26%), Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd (down 3.21%), City Union Bank Ltd (down 2.86%), and General Insurance Corporation of India (down 2.52%).
On the other hand, IFCI Ltd (up 8.45%), Dolat Investments Ltd (up 8.08%), and Yes Bank Ltd (up 6.68%) turned up.
At 13:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 203.6 or 0.49% at 41362.3.
The Nifty 50 index was down 58.95 points or 0.48% at 12142.25.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 11.62 points or 0.08% at 14719.43.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 20.2 points or 0.4% at 5084.38.
On BSE,970 shares were trading in green, 1336 were trading in red and 144 were unchanged.
