GAIL (India) commences PNG supply in Bhubaneswar

Also plans to commission 25 CNG stations in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack

GAIL (India) announced the commencement of Piped Natural Gas supply to residents of Bhubaneswar. Initially, natural gas will reach Bhubaneswar in special containers called 'cascades' which will be transported by road from Vijaywada in Andhra Pradesh. Later, natural gas will be supplied through the Jagdishpur - Haldia & Bokaro - Dhamra Natural Gas Pipeline. The pipeline is presently under construction and likely to be completed by 2019. The Company also plans to commission 25 CNG stations in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack to supply CNG fuel to vehicles.
