Healthcare shares rise
Healthcare stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index rising 36.93 points or 0.28% at 13359.27 at 09:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Vimta Labs Ltd (up 3.85%), Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company Ltd (up 3.32%),Lincoln Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 2.64%),Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd (up 1.71%),Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 1.62%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Wockhardt Ltd (up 1.39%), Cipla Ltd (up 1.26%), Vivimed Labs Ltd (up 1.25%), Neuland Laboratories Ltd (up 1.14%), and Morepen Laboratories Ltd (up 0.98%).
On the other hand, Gufic BioSciences Ltd (down 2.4%), Dr Lal Pathlabs Ltd (down 1.96%), and ERIS Lifesciences Ltd (down 1.07%) moved lower.
At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 44.09 or 0.11% at 40443.34.
The Nifty 50 index was down 11.25 points or 0.09% at 11926.25.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 1.8 points or 0.01% at 13278.7.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 1.17 points or 0.03% at 4656.36.
On BSE,634 shares were trading in green, 788 were trading in red and 64 were unchanged.
