Healthcare shares gain
Healthcare stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index rising 143.07 points or 1.03% at 14089.58 at 09:49 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Caplin Point Laboratories Ltd (up 14.15%), Ajanta Pharma Ltd (up 8.77%),Granules India Ltd (up 5.23%),Dishman Carbogen Amcis Ltd (up 4.95%),Cadila Healthcare Ltd (up 4.3%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Kilitch Drugs (India) Ltd (up 3.79%), Alembic Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 3.36%), Novartis India Ltd (up 3.22%), Shalby Ltd (up 3.18%), and Neuland Laboratories Ltd (up 3.14%).
On the other hand, Opto Circuits (India) Ltd (down 3.61%), Dr Lal Pathlabs Ltd (down 1.89%), and Gufic BioSciences Ltd (down 1.12%) moved lower.
At 09:49 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 161.67 or 0.39% at 41304.33.
The Nifty 50 index was up 61 points or 0.5% at 12150.15.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 105.23 points or 0.72% at 14758.74.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 32.28 points or 0.64% at 5113.08.
On BSE,1002 shares were trading in green, 417 were trading in red and 57 were unchanged.
