Healthcare stocks edge lower

Healthcare stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index decreasing 31.91 points or 0.21% at 14961.85 at 13:53 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Lincoln Pharmaceuticals Ltd (down 4.99%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd (down 3.86%),Ipca Laboratories Ltd (down 3.69%),Vimta Labs Ltd (down 3.1%),Marksans Pharma Ltd (down 2.99%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Nectar Lifescience Ltd (down 2.92%), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd (down 2.77%), Caplin Point Laboratories Ltd (down 2.51%), Cadila Healthcare Ltd (down 2.37%), and Alkem Laboratories Ltd (down 2.13%).

On the other hand, Dishman Carbogen Amcis Ltd (up 5%), Take Solutions Ltd (up 4.99%), and Shilpa Medicare Ltd (up 4.99%) turned up.

 

At 13:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 535.6 or 1.75% at 31138.21.

The Nifty 50 index was up 145.4 points or 1.62% at 9138.2.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 206.71 points or 1.96% at 10750.36.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 65.41 points or 1.76% at 3781.56.

On BSE,1563 shares were trading in green, 738 were trading in red and 159 were unchanged.
