Information Technology shares ease
Information Technology stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index falling 645.39 points or 5.03% at 12197.33 at 13:52 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Mindtree Ltd (down 10%), Tech Mahindra Ltd (down 7.22%),Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd (down 6.17%),Infosys Ltd (down 6%),Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (down 5.26%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Majesco Ltd (down 4.63%), Wipro Ltd (down 4.55%), 3i Infotech Ltd (down 3.79%), L&T Technology Services Ltd (down 3.37%), and Tata Elxsi Ltd (down 3.06%).
On the other hand, Zen Technologies Ltd (up 9.89%), Infibeam Avenues Ltd (up 7.94%), and Sonata Software Ltd (up 7.19%) moved up.
At 13:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 1271.44 or 4.31% at 28197.05.
The Nifty 50 index was down 350.35 points or 4.07% at 8247.4.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 100.84 points or 1.05% at 9508.08.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 68.72 points or 2% at 3360.09.
On BSE,997 shares were trading in green, 1049 were trading in red and 149 were unchanged.
