Information Technology stocks rise

Information Technology stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index increasing 84.57 points or 0.66% at 12875.65 at 09:53 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Majesco Ltd (up 7.49%), Intellect Design Arena Ltd (up 4.93%),Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd (up 4.58%),Accelya Solutions India Ltd (up 2.91%),Tech Mahindra Ltd (up 1.87%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (up 1.45%), Trigyn Technologies Ltd (up 1.1%), HCL Technologies Ltd (up 0.78%), Wipro Ltd (up 0.71%), and Mindtree Ltd (up 0.63%).

On the other hand, Hinduja Global Solutions Ltd (down 9.85%), D-Link India Ltd (down 9.27%), and Nucleus Software Exports Ltd (down 5.93%) turned lower.

 

At 09:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 604.34 or 2.03% at 29211.25.

The Nifty 50 index was down 158.9 points or 1.83% at 8501.35.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 126.53 points or 1.33% at 9370.71.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 60.2 points or 1.76% at 3359.26.

On BSE,461 shares were trading in green, 934 were trading in red and 91 were unchanged.
