Information Technology shares gain

Information Technology stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index rising 60.3 points or 0.51% at 11953.55 at 09:52 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Trigyn Technologies Ltd (up 5.18%), Infosys Ltd (up 1.91%),3i Infotech Ltd (up 1.81%),Quick Heal Technologies Ltd (up 1.71%),Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd (up 1.43%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were eClerx Services Ltd (up 1.35%), Mastek Ltd (up 1.02%), Wipro Ltd (up 1.01%), Tech Mahindra Ltd (up 0.65%), and NELCO Ltd (up 0.39%).

On the other hand, Hinduja Global Solutions Ltd (down 7.31%), Hexaware Technologies Ltd (down 6.16%), and Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (down 5.32%) moved lower.

 

At 09:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 208.78 or 0.68% at 30370.31.

The Nifty 50 index was down 51.45 points or 0.57% at 8915.6.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 182.62 points or 1.68% at 10661.17.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 70.69 points or 1.85% at 3741.02.

On BSE,626 shares were trading in green, 906 were trading in red and 62 were unchanged.
